This is the only song from the album that was made and released before the record. It’s an important song for me, not only because it was a turning point in finding my identity as an artist, with big help from my producer, but it also feels very honest and tied to a core theme of this record - trying to move forward but feeling too tied down by things from your past. I decided to put it right at the heart of the record for that reason.
